Scarlett on location

Our location shoot with Scarlett, was the only day in the last week or so that’s been dull and grey, typical! Still the weather didn’t stop us and we even managed a few bikini shots, must be nuts. Scarlett is from the states so love the first set with US flag top and love the new location we’ve found in carnoustie, i’m sure there will be loads of shoots from there in the future. Thanks to Scarlett for a wonderful afternoon, she’s super nice and alot of fun to work with.

Mostly shot with natural light (which makes a change) with my usual lenses - 35, 85, 135L.

A bit of a christmas vibe going on here, well it is december in a few days. I want to do shoots like this all the time! Had a great day at Crombie Country Park with Sarah and Gilly. As the day went on the light got better and better and what a beautiful setting. Two more sets coming very soon and this one can be seen on our facebook page and photo diary

Amazing new set from saturday with the stunning Emma Johnston from Edinburgh/Broughty Ferry. What an exceptional model and great day, not sure why it’s taken us so long to shoot together but can’t wait to shoot again.

Katie Isaac

Well once again we’ve been away for a while, we’ve been busy creating a small studio space at our new home in carnoustie and settling in, pretty much finished now so will have some shoots in it soon, however given the amazing weather yesterday we decided to head out for a couple of hours with Katie Isaac from Aberdeen. After much car trouble she eventually got here so time was of the essence. The day before we’d found some great locations so headed straight for them. Katie was a wonderful model to work with and is a makeup artist to boot making our job much easier. Hope to work with her again in the future.

We’re right on Carnoustie high street now so very easy to find, I hope the above images may inspire some of you to get in touch to book a shoot. You don’t need to be a model or have any experience at all, we have good relationships with makeup artists and overall just like to have fun while we shoot.

Well after a long wait we’re finally able to show you a selection of images from our BREO product photoshoots, to view many more of the shots go check out the gallery in detail. (this is still no where near the amount that were chosen in the end)

This was a BIG learning curve for us and extremely time consuming, shoots were split up over a few months, well worth it though, we think we’ve achieved some great results working alongside Breo. Much of these shots are already being used in their marketing material, just noticed one the other day in the inflight magazine while flying Ryanair…nice!

Thanks to Keith and the team at Breo for this opportunity, we hope to continue this line of work. 

In other news we’re in the process of creating a new home photography/design studio in our new house in carnoustie which should be completed over the coming months ready for more shoots.

Elaine Shoot 2 - 27/02/11

Worth waiting for? I’m pretty stoked about this shoot. The 85L is hard to get to grips with, quite a few images not as sharp as i’d wish but the creamy backgrounds and general look and colour of the images are more than worth it. Again all shot with just one light setup.

Blu Hairdressers Dundee

Andrew from Blu Hair and Beauty, South Tay Street, Dundee got in touch a month or so ago to organise a very simple hair shoot, images are to be used on their upcoming new website and framed in the salon. If all goes to plan there will be a not so simple shoot for Blu in the coming months which should be very different but in the meantime please enjoy the above pics, models are Annie Voigt and Kirsty Miller (who also did the makeup)

Shoot number 2 of the day - very quick simple, clean and crisp style. A huge thanks to Sarah for the makeup and styling and for stepping in at the last minute, thanks to graeme and gillybean too for their hard work all day.

Had a spate of cancellations recently but the wonderful sarah once again stepped in to save the day - she also brought along cage fighter graeme who did great for his first time modelling - it was our first shoot with a guy too so a day of experimenting with lighting and a great laugh was had by all. Some of my favourite shots ever in this set.

Sarah | Home Studio Dundee

An impromptu shoot with our in-house MUA Sarah Robertson from Dundee and our first of 2010. Lots of Xmas goodies to play with on this shoot including brand new beauty dish and octobox. All shot in our home studio. Sarah did her own makeup.

Overall I am really happy with these sets and hope it’s the start of great shoots to come this year.
