Wedding marketing material

We’ve just had delivery of some fancy new marketing material and stationery we designed to promote our Wedding Photography and to let everyone know of our new brand and services. The range of business cards and stickers were printed by the amazing Moo.com and the flyers by Awesome Merchandise. They are both great companies offering quality products.

Sarah Nov 2

2nd shoot with Sarah (actually the 3rd but i’m keeping the best till last). The first few were shot on a big hay truck in the middle of a field in Carnoustie just as the sun was going down, couldn’t stay long as we were getting bitten alive and my car was close to being stuck in the mud… it’s so glamorous this business! Sarah was rocking the cowgirl look, lucky she brought along those boots and again the light was just perfect, I love when it comes together like that unexpectedly.
The last few shots were down at Dundee Riverside with an oil rig behind sarah to create some of that wonderful creamy back lighting.
Set shot with… Canon 5d Mark II // Canon 35mm 1.4L // Canon 85mm 1.2L // Canon 135mm 2.0L // canon 430ex flash in 28 inch softbox

Barbara Dymock

Photoshoot for traditional scottish folk singer Barbara Dymock from Dundee. We shot this at an amazing house on Dundee Road overlooking the Tay. Thanks to Sarah for the makeup and first contact and Julie for the hair and venue. These shots are to be used on CD artwork and marketing material I believe and Barbara is delighted with the outcome… full set here

Sarah 14/04/11

Great great great shoot with Sarah Robertson - haven’t seen her in so long, she hadn’t modelled for a while but it took her no time at all to get back in the swing despite the freezing temperatures. Assisted as usual by Gilly who does a wonderful job of blethering and choosing outfits. These were shot around the Verdant Works area of Dundee, I like the strong use of colour and abstract shapes the area provided. View the whole set.
Equipment: Canon 35mm 1.4L // Canon 85mm 1.2L // canon 430ex // umbrella // elinchrom skyports

The Fenwicks

Great shoot with the Fenwick family from Carnoustie on Sunday at Baxter park (pretty much the only place we could get to given the snow chaos) A birthday/xmas gift for mum and we hope she likes the results as much as we do. Kirsty and Rhianne were great sports and great posers to boot as you can see from the small selection above.
Our first shoot in the snow and our first with the legendary 85mm f1.2 L. This lens may stay permanently attached (if it weren’t for the 135L of course)
We’ve been taking a huge break of late with the arrival of Jack and should be back after the new year so will be taking bookings. Looking to take on much more family, engagement and couple sessions next year too.

Maisie Donaldson Studio

Long awaited shoot with Maisie Donaldson from Falkirk, all very last minute middle of the week evening stuff but came together very nicely in the end. Using the monster 5 foot octabox and beauty dish. Not much room left in the studio what with the octabox and heavily pregnant wife helping out. :) Couldn’t do it without you though Gilly!
Maisie is a great model to work with, any scottish photographers out there should get booking her, so effortless.
Enjoying going back to basics and using only the white seamless paper backdrop at the moment, i love that through properly lighting the subject I can change the shades from white all the way through to dark grey without having to go buy more overly priced paper.
Would love to her what you think.
location: Home Studio, Dundee // canon 5d Mark II / canon 24-70L / Elinchrom skyports / Elinchrom D-lites 2 / 5’ Octabox / Beauty Dish
