Sarah Nov 3

We’re all very happy with this set, was a joy to do. The dress, the setting and of course sarah are all lovely. Shot at Crombie Country Park we certainly got a few strange looks from passers by but who cares with results like these. Thanks to Gilly and Sarah for a very productive shoot day.
Set shot with… Canon 5d Mark II // Canon 35mm 1.4L // Canon 85mm 1.2L // Canon 135mm 2.0L // canon 430ex flash in 28 inch softbox

Catriona Rennie Shoot 1 October 2011

Haven’t shot with Catriona for such a very long time, she was part of our second ever shoot a few years back and it was so good it inspired us and gave us the confidence to take on more shoots, was great to see her again and so chuffed she chose us to do her first shoot after having a baby. Started off simple then headed out for some autumn fun…oh so cold and wet… but worth it!

Katie Isaac

Well once again we’ve been away for a while, we’ve been busy creating a small studio space at our new home in carnoustie and settling in, pretty much finished now so will have some shoots in it soon, however given the amazing weather yesterday we decided to head out for a couple of hours with Katie Isaac from Aberdeen. After much car trouble she eventually got here so time was of the essence. The day before we’d found some great locations so headed straight for them. Katie was a wonderful model to work with and is a makeup artist to boot making our job much easier. Hope to work with her again in the future.
We’re right on Carnoustie high street now so very easy to find, I hope the above images may inspire some of you to get in touch to book a shoot. You don’t need to be a model or have any experience at all, we have good relationships with makeup artists and overall just like to have fun while we shoot.

Elaine Shoot 2 - 27/02/11

Worth waiting for? I’m pretty stoked about this shoot. The 85L is hard to get to grips with, quite a few images not as sharp as i’d wish but the creamy backgrounds and general look and colour of the images are more than worth it. Again all shot with just one light setup.
Check out the whole shoot over in our photo diary and come say hi on facebook.

The Fenwicks

Great shoot with the Fenwick family from Carnoustie on Sunday at Baxter park (pretty much the only place we could get to given the snow chaos) A birthday/xmas gift for mum and we hope she likes the results as much as we do. Kirsty and Rhianne were great sports and great posers to boot as you can see from the small selection above.
Our first shoot in the snow and our first with the legendary 85mm f1.2 L. This lens may stay permanently attached (if it weren’t for the 135L of course)
We’ve been taking a huge break of late with the arrival of Jack and should be back after the new year so will be taking bookings. Looking to take on much more family, engagement and couple sessions next year too.

Sarah and Graeme | location photoshoot Dundee

Had a spate of cancellations recently but the wonderful sarah once again stepped in to save the day - she also brought along cage fighter graeme who did great for his first time modelling - it was our first shoot with a guy too so a day of experimenting with lighting and a great laugh was had by all. Some of my favourite shots ever in this set.

Maz got in touch recently through Model Mayhem, she’s really funny if a little crazy :) i felt bad cause it took her around 3 hours to get from Ayr to Dundee on the megabus with bags full of props and clothes… she soon perked up though and was great to work with. First attempt at lighting using a ringflash (a cheapy ebay one at that). I Found it pretty difficult and not my usual style but some good results in the end. She sure enjoys drumstick lollies and the whole Dennis the Menace thing looked great.
The second shoot with Maz with just the coolest german officers cap she brought along, apparently found in a skip in germany. Shot with just one light, 430ex in 28 inch softbox. Much darker than the first set but in my opinion more successful and definitely a style I would like to pursue further. Just to say we are always taking bookings for shoots whether TF or paid so please get in touch and we would be happy to talk over your ideas.
